Goodbye, freezing winters, and hello, warmth

January 8th, 2010 by

I love my house, but spending winter in it was an act that required many blankets on the beds, and extra pairs of socks and a couple of sweaters on all the time when walking around the house. My husband had tried fixing the heater once, but I guess that’s why it never worked again.

When a friend came over to visit, she told me of VA Loan through chattering teeth. Since my husband was in the US Army service, we could apply and even get a loan that would enable us to get the heater up and working.

While browsing the VA Loan website, I almost cried with joy when I found out about the VA energy efficiency mortgage (EEM), which allowed us to borrow an additional $6,000 for energy improvements had we gone through with any purchase and refinance transactions.

As long as we keep our energy cost low, we could use that money to repair our heater. This was going to be easy because I had had enough practice in maintaining low utility bills, so I signed the VA Loan papers quickly and now enjoy plenty of warmth while it snows outside.

Have significant savings with taking up the VA home mortgage loan by Lowvrates.com

January 8th, 2010 by

Like many other military families, I and my wife were also looking for lower home mortgage loan rates for us to shop for a new home. With a vast search online and deep consideration, we found the most affordable and conveniently attainable VA Loan Rates offered at Lowvrates.com. With the help of these low VA Loan Rates we gained the advantage to purchase a large home with the same monthly payment, which therefore would not have been possible without this great offer. Not only did the website offer various programs and affordable home loan rates, they also provided us with experienced professionals that guided us through the whole loan obtaining process. We never could have imagined that taking a loan would be this easy, but Lowvrates.com certainly made it imaginable. Being a retired military officer with no large payments, it is important for me and my wife to have cumulative savings in order to secure the future for us and my children. For this reason attaining the VA Loan Rates offered by Lowvrates.com was a wise choice to be made. The rates offered by them are typically 0.5% to 1 % lower over a conventional rate offered elsewhere and therefore provided us with the opportunity to buy our dream house.

Best suiting guide for men

January 8th, 2010 by

I have been able to change my buying habits ever since I first visited shopwiki.com. I was not a good buyer and my wife used to scold me for that. Clothing for Men is a complete field in itself and I have found plenty of information on shopwiki.com. Now I have learnt ways and means to select the right items for myself.

Mens Pants are not an easy purchase. I used to spend hours in selecting the right pants but always had to face issues afterwards. Information given on shopwiki.com has finally enabled me to look for certain aspects before purchasing this item.

Mens Suits are even easier to purchase. I was not even aware of the types of suits before I visited shopwiki.com. Now I have learnt about all the varieties and on choosing the best suits for my job.

The best part about visiting shopwiki.com is the plethora of information available on Shirts and Ties. These two basic items of clothing make or break the image of a person. I was not good in buying them but now select my items after following the guidelines given on shopwiki.com. This website is the best guide on men’s suiting and I can vouch for that.

Dede Wilsey-A hard working fundraising tycoon!

November 29th, 2009 by

Whenever Dede Wilsey begins a philanthropic project she imagines a Monopoly board in her head of possible naming opportunities and donations with the Park Place and Pacific Avenue all in mind. However, the Park Place has been taken over by a hospital wing now. She believes that the reason behind her success has always been positive thinking and her pink post it notes. Dede Wilsey kept this approach in mind when she was serving as the chair of the Fine Arts Museum in San Francisco having the responsibility of raising money to re-construct the de Young Museum in 2005. She worked on this project to make it a success day and night with continuous energy, hard work and dedication for ten years never once backing down or giving up on her hard struggle.

Dede Wilsey put all her efforts in to this project when she started it back in 1995 raising $208 million from more than 7,000 donors completing the largest privately funded project and gift given to the city of San Francisco. She took on the job of designing the museum on her own working with the architects side by side every step of the way.

Sam Foti Adds a New Leaf to Metropolitan Life Insurance

November 24th, 2009 by

Sam Foti has had a successful career as Vice President of Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. He held this prestigious position for five years, from 1983 to 1988. Even rising to this top echelon of the company, he had accumulated vast experience of working at various tiers of the company from 1974 to 1982.

During the tenure of Samuel J. Foti as Vice President, the Metropolitan Life Insurance continued its strides towards expansion and regaining its lost glory vis-à-vis its arch rival, the Prudential Insurance. Metropolitan successfully launched in 1984 its famous ‘whole life plus’ policy that guaranteed up to one-third additional coverage for its clients without levying any extra premium.

Samuel Foti ’s personal endeavours continued rebuilding Metropolitan as a fast growing company in 1985, when the latter acquired Charter Security Life Insurance Companies. This out-of-the-box expansion measure helped Metropolitan take over the line of Single Premium Deferred Annuities, in addition to making a number of other acquisitions, both in-country and abroad. By the end of the year, Metropolitan had become the number one company amongst the top seven Hispanic markets. The next year heralded its strategy of developing the Asian-American marketing. Thus, under the new leadership, Metropolitan became a thriving insurance enterprise.

Mvelopes is a college life necessity

November 19th, 2009 by

Budgeting was never my thing, and being a college student, it was hard for me to plan one let along stick to it. My parents were always scolding me for quickly spending whatever they sent me, but that isn’t the case now thanks to Mvelopes’ budget-creating system.

One of the features about this tool is that I can pay my cell phone bills from the computer lab rather than going down to the post office. Plus, I can access my account through my cell when I out on town so that I can keep my spending in check Even Mom and Dad are using this now to tackle the Family Budget in hopes of keeping their books in order as well as avoiding whatever hidden expenditures they used to have.

Being on my own hasn’t been easy, yet now that I have my Personal Budget planned out and available for my use anywhere and anytime, I can trace my expenses and avoid overspending what I have in my bank account. With a quarterly plan for $39.60 activated, I can now rest assured that I can account for every penny I spend.

Your children do not have to choose between academics or sports

November 19th, 2009 by

My daughter was always athletic, and it sort of runs in the family. She participated in sports at school, and in Girls High School Basketball, Girls High School Soccer and Girls High School Volleyball. I did not want her to give up her talent, to pursue college education, which was my dream. I searched and searched for an option where she could get an athletic scholarship, and found Steel Athlete!

All I did was, went to some of my daughter’s games, and filmed her. I edited it, made it crisp, and focused. I asked her to give me her academic certificates and built a profile for her. After I was done, I picked up the Recruiter Kit Platinum, and uploaded her film and profile. I asked her to send invitations to all the colleges she liked. Within a month, she started hearing from these coaches and finally received a sport scholarship.

It is a great feeling to know that my daughter is pursuing her studies while keeping up with her extra curricular. I have always believed that sports are an essential part of a person’s learning and growth. I am so thankful to Steel Athlete for making my wish come true.

Improve your quality of work life – with Hearing Aids from HearAid

November 19th, 2009 by

It is amazing how millions of Americans face mild to moderate hear loss and majority of them remain unaware or unwilling to admit to this problem. HearAid provides an expert, yet an affordable solution to this problem through their Hearing Aids.

I am a customer sales service agent and I realized that I have mild hearing loss when I couldn’t hear customers clearly on the phone and many a times I would misunderstand words in a sentence and ask them to repeat the sentence. With Hearing Aids from the company HearAid, I no longer face this problem.

For a tight budget like mine, I was reluctant to look for a solution but with Hearing Aides from HearAid, you don’t need to spend on repeated doctor’s appointments! With this new Hearing Aid I can now hear customers crystal clear and not having to deal with the pressure of concentrating and listening too intently to make out words clearly has drastically improved my performance!

This Hearing Aid is surprisingly much smaller in size than I expected and it hardly shows! Also with HearAid’s value for money deal, you can get these technologically equipped and smart Hearing Aids for just $299 – a revolutionary product that will improve the quality of your work and personal life.

I’m Free of the Office! Hooray for WebPoint!

November 13th, 2009 by

I’m a pretty cool boss, but it bothers me that with so many employees on the road we can’t even keep our pricelists synched, let alone collaborate on sales numbers or other data.

I’ve tried high end collaboration tools, but they’re expensive to deploy and often take so much training that it’s just not viable in  our company.  That’s until I tried WebPoint VPN by Vedivi.  I took the free trial and within 30 minutes I’d downloaded and set up the VPN for remote access.

It’s frankly amazing.  I’m not sure how exactly it connects, but it does and it allows secure access to keep all the prying eyes out.  Basically you install the software on one pc in the network and it’ll discover all the other machines and servers in your network.

You log on via the WebPoint website, which then creates a secure connection between your remote PC and the Network.
Best of all, it actually uses your Windows authentication on your remote pc to connect to the network, so you can control access to data and servers!
I took the enterprise free trial and it works really well.  Try it for yourself.

Buying a new car can be confusing!

October 30th, 2009 by

I’m not very ‘into’ cars so to speak, as in I’m not a follower of different brands and makes, I probably could recognise a ferrari if one raced by, but that’s about it. So when it came time to buy a new car I was a little stumped at where to start.  I went online and came across The Car Connection website, which had no dearth of information on the latest cars, and indeed most cars ever made (or so it seemed to me!). I checked out all the recent toyota cars, as well as volvo  and gmc because they are names that I know, and well my dad had a toyota so at least they must be alright! So I got my shortlist together from cars that I liked the look of and the website said were reliable and economical and went down to the local dealership. They were pretty impressed with my research, but I could tell that they could tell I wasn’t a car kind of person, so it was a little awkward! Anyhow by the end of the day I had a great looking car, and the website had said they were a good car, so really I was happy!
